synopsis
Jax Mural Project (JMP) is a non-profit organization created in Jacksonville by college students for college students and newcomers to the area. They aim to spread Jacksonville's local mural art through their website, rewards system, and community events that grant exposure to the local artists who often go unnoticed by the general public.
Mural imagery is seen through streaks of paint, consistent typography, and an
easy-to-use interface allows JMP to appeal to the target audience and make
them feel at ease.

As a non-profit for the local mural art of Jacksonville, JMP aims to keep the art as
the focus of their visual design, attracting the viewer through the interesting art
seen in the streets of Jacksonville. To keep this at the center of their branding, the
color palette used throughout is kept black & white for a simple look.

For Jax Mural Project the goal is to allow the art/murals themselves to shine, using only a black & white color palette with a bold San Serif typeface shifts the focus from the design elements to the murals.

To spread exposure of local Jacksonville Mural art, JMP promotes one local artist a month and showcases their art on their branding material as well as their current
event marketing, meaning their branding materials are dynamic and ever-changing.
JMP community events like Murals In Action showcase artist's painting in different Jacksonville communities all while promoting their work in person as well as on the mobile website.

Murals In Action is the biggest community event JMP hosts yearly, it allows the public to view a brand new mural being painted the day of in the streets of Jacksonville. Throughout the event, they are able to scan event signage to earn more points for visiting JMP events and murals!

Aside from JMP having community events, they promote Jacksonville artists all in the same place, on their mobile website. Marketing materials including posters help to spread the word about the artists work and where it is.

The mobile website contains screens throughout that guide the user to learn about JMP and the artists for the amazing murals they see around Jacksonville. You'll find screens such as upcoming events, a mural gallery, location services with a map, and their very own rewards system account.
